What Remains, 64 x 69 x 15"
This concrete relief sculpture considers scale, shape, texture and mass as means of calling the viewer inward. I wanted this piece to be at once ominous and serene and altogether engulfing.
Concrete Carpet, 87 x 70 x ¾"
An interactive sculpture that allows the viewer to physically engage with the work by walking on it. Through this interaction one must resolve conflicts between what is perceived and felt, as well as deeply ingrained notions about what art is and how to properly engage with it. Each person will reach their own conclusion.
